Ingredients
Banana flower - 1 cleaned, stalk removed and chopped finely
Channa Dhal (kadalaparuppu) – 1 Cup
Green chillies – 4 or to taste
Ginger – 1/2 inch piece
Garlic - 4 cloves
Onion – 2 medium sized ones chopped finely
Fennel Seeds (sombu) – 1/4 tsp
1 small piece cinnamon
Salt to taste
Curry leaves

Method
Soak the channa dhal for at least 1 hr. Grind it coarsely along with the green chillies, ginger, garlic, cinnamon, fennel and salt. Add the chopped banana flower and give a last spin in the grinder and remove. Add in the onions and the curry leaves ( tear the leaves roughly with your hands) and check for salt.
Make lemon size balls and flatten them on your palm and deep fry on medium heat. Serve hot. I had mine with pudina chutney
